I'd think it's safe to say that anyone currently looking at the newsletter is probably one of those "people who will enjoy anything you do forever" I really like whatever you make, and your principles on uploading are very admirable. It's a model that is all too rare in the digital landscape that exists nowadays. Stickmen 2020 and Cavefolder introduced me to you, but I stayed because your creations, dedication to archiving all your past works and your determination to keep making art inspires me and motivates me to keep trying to make my own stuff.
I think it's awesome that you decided to just let out your ideas. I have an issue where I do like sharing my ideas with people which means I bottle it up inside me. It may not sound unhealthy but when you want to share something but have to keep a secret, it can hurt.
It's only until very recently that I will be experimenting with my own content again that I have kept inside me for years since I just worked on other YouTubers content before my own. I neglected to try out my own ideas. Also, I understand the metrics too. It's a useful tool but can be devastating when numbers start to go down. It can punch you straight in the gut and make you feel like utter crap, but you gotta get up and keep trying.
yeah i've had the longest fear of not saying my ideas for fear of getting people's hopes up and never delivering, even if I never promised anything. this weekly phone show is making me confront that head-on as I have to tell people that it's not the only thing I want to do lmao
