justified. I remember reading an opinion somewhere that stated that swearing is the sign of someone who is too emotional to properly explain their current feelings or thoughts. That really stuck with me for a while, and I like to think it's true even if it turns out it's false. People who DON'T pad their sentences with "um" or "like" or "shit" or even softer expletives like "gosh dang it" say what's on their mind more efficiently and come across as more intelligent. I'm still too used to cursing frequently because of the friend culture I grew up in (and it also deters child audiences that I do not want) but more power to you if you live without using them. I hope your friends aren't too harsh to you about your decision to not use curse words, anyone can choose to do that even if they're not Christian
